Celtic v Benfica Preview

It’s hardly been the best preparation for Celtic ahead of their Champions League Group G opener with Portuguese side Benfica. An unexpected weekend 2-1 loss away to St.Johnstone has the Glasgow east end club languishing in 5th place in the SPL – five points behind leaders Motherwell.
Neil Lennon will be hoping the Hoops can turn on the style in front of a full house at Parkhead on Wednesday evening. It’s a welcome return to the big stage for the Celtic faithful having missed out on qualifying since 2009.

Twenty20 World Cup Preview

The 4th Twenty20 World Cup takes place in Sri Lanka this year from the 18th of September, 2012, and defending champions England have it all to do after being drawn with ICC 4th seeds, and hot bookie favourites to win the T20 World Cup – India!
Qualifiers, Afghanistan, make up Group A. They are an unknown and unpredictable package at this level. It all adds up to a very tight group in which England have been drawn. That said, you’d expect both England and India to qualify.
