Bayern Munich have a four point lead at the top after the weekend Bundesliga fixtures. That will be increased to seven with six games remaining if they can win away at Borussia Dortmund on Tuesday. It's one of several key games in the Bundesliga.

Borussia Dortmund v Bayern Munich - Tuesday 26 May: 5.30pm

It's the big match as Borussia Dortmund host Bayern Munich hoping to reduce the gap at the top to just one point. Dortmund can't afford to lose this match and even a draw will keep their title hopes alive. Winning though would set up a great climax to the delayed end of season. The home side have won both of heir games since the Bundesliga resumed. They started with a 4-0 home thrashing of Schalke 04 and then on Saturday went to sixth placed Wolfsburg and came away with a 2-0 victory.

Dortmund have the best home record in the league with ten wins and three draws. No other side in the table has an unbeaten home record but this is going to be the stiffest test they have faced. They may well be able to score 45 goals in 13 home games but they haven't played Bayern have they? Dortmund have no reason to be scared of their visitors though, as they have won two of their last three home league games against them. The reverse fixture this season saw them lose 4-0 to Bayern.

The league leaders have had to play catch-up for the past couple of weekends. Dortmund play and win to close the gap to a single point but then Bayern go and win to regain that four point advantage. Bayern won 5-2 at home to Eintracht Frankfurt at the weekend. They were 3-0 up in the second half but suddenly conceded a couple of goals. They managed to get that three-goal advantage back but Dortmund might get some confidence from that temporary stumble.

The win over Frankfurt means the table toppers have now won eight league and cup games in a row. They have won nine away Bundesliga games this season scoring 37 goals, the last six by an aggregate score of 22-3. A slight improvement after winning just one of the four before that. Munich won't come into this game looking for a draw to keep their lead at four points. They know full well that a win on Tuesday will take them a giant step towards another league title. They have the momentum and a bet on them winning with both teams scoring is one to place.

Bayer Leverkusen v Wolfsburg - Tuesday 27 May: 7.30pm

Bayer Leverkusen had another good win at the weekend as they won 3-1 at Borussia Monchengladbach. The victory took them up to fourth in the table but eight points behind leaders Bayern Munich. A win here and a draw in Dortmund might just put them in with a very outside chance of winning the Bundesliga, especially if they could beat Bayern Munich at home on 6 June. More likely is them qualifying for the Champions League and they are in the final spot with a lead of a point over Monchengladbach.

They are in great form though with two wins since the season resumed and seven goals scored. Six of their last seven league games have been won and have won 11 of their last 12 games in all competitons. The goals keep flowing with three scored in all but one of their last seven matches. Home form has seen them win seven out of 13 with the last four all won and by an aggregate score of 13-2.

Not stats that are going to fill Wolfsburg with hopes of an away win. They are sixth in the table and hanging onto the final Europa League qualification place. Saturday wasn't a good day for them as they lost 2-0 at home to Borussia Dortmund. They lead Freiburg by two points and will have been pleased to see both them and Schalke 04 fail to take advantage as both also lose. Six away league games have been won this season but three of the last four have been won. This is another tough game for them though and a home win for Bayer Leverkusen with over 1.5 goals in the game looks likely.

RB Leipzig v Hertha Berlin - Wednesday 27 May: 5.30pm KO

RB Leipzig will also be hoping for a draw between Borussia Dortmund and Bayern Munich on Tuesday. They are in third position and seven points behind the league leaders. They had been closer but a run of three straight draws saw that gap widen. The weekend saw them return to winning ways as they had a convincing 5-0 win away at Mainz with Timo Werner scoring a hat-trick, his first goals since February.

The welcome win extended their unbeaten league run to eight games. Only one of their last 18 fixtures in the Bundesliga has been lost but they need to build on that weekend victory. Home form for Leipzig has seen without a loss in the last ten but three of the last four have ended in draws. They can't afford to do that against Hertha Berlin.

Hertha Berlin are in 11th place but that's only five points behind the final Europa League place. They have won both of their games since the season resumed. Firstly, they went to Hoffenheim and won 3-0 and last Friday won their local derby against Union Berlin 4-0 at home. That's a big improvement after a previous run of one win in five league fixtures. Away form this season has also seen improvement and they are unbeaten in their last six league matches with four wins. Two came against Bayer Leverkusen and Wolfsburg, both currently in the top six. Leipzig are back in form though and if Werner can keep up his scoring form, this looks booked for a home win with both teams scoring.
