Autumn Internationals Latest
Scotland were the side on rugby fans lips after they ended their Autumn Internationals with a quite stunning demolition of Australia. The Scots ran in eight tries at Murrayfield in record win over a 14-man Wallabies. The manner of their performance was made even more impressive given they were devoid of the services of star man Stuart Hogg, who picked up a hip injury in the warm-up. However his replacement, Byron McGuigan, went over twice on his test debut to ensure a historic win for Scotland. Given this performance and how close they pushed the All-Blacks, the Scots are looking a resurgent force and could be well worth placing an ante-post bet on for next year's Six Nations.
There was a similarly entertaining encounter in Cardiff where New Zealand triumphed 33-18. That win makes it 30 in a row for the All-Blacks against Wales but the scoreline does not perhaps tell the entire story. Wales were dominant in terms of possession and territory in the first half but New Zealand were clinical as they scored two tries through wing Waisake Naholo. Wales scored two tries of their own in the second half thanks to Scott Williams and Gareth Davies but when Rieko Ioane went over once again, the Welsh hopes of a comeback were ended.
England made it three wins from three in their fixtures with a 48-14 win over Samoa at Twickenham. It was another victory for Eddie Jones' men in which a late flurry of tries capped the victory as the hosts went over seven times. Ireland also made it a trio of victories with a 28-19 win over Argentina.
