With four different winners in the last four races, the 2017 Formula One season is proving as unpredictable as any in recent memory, but one thing is proving to be reliable in this sport is Lewis Hamilton performing well at the British Grand Prix.

The Brit has won at Silverstone four times and on each of the last three visits to his home track. He is now just one behind Jim Clark and Alain Prost’s record of five British Grand Prix wins, and can become the first driver since Clark in the 1960s to win four on the bounce.

Hamilton has been frustrated by missing the podium in each of his last two outings, but he has still won as many Grand Prix as anyone this year, level on three with Sebastian Vettel.

Lewis has still been performing pretty well, he’s just not put the whole package together. He might not have won either of the last two races but he was on pole in Azerbaijan and managed the fastest lap in Austria. There are plenty of positives despite not claiming victory.

This is why most bookmakers have made Hamilton odds-on favourite to win the race, but there is one price that looks a lot more tempting. Stan James have put their head above the parapet and offered EVENS on Hamilton to top the podium at Silverstone.

In such a tough campaign to predict, EVENS still could seem a short price for anyone to win any race, but Hamilton at Silverstone looks as safe a bet as any on the calendar.

It is also very tempting to back Hamilton to dominate to the extent that he starts on pole, manages the fastest lap and wins the race.

Hamilton is the only driver to manage that so far this season and he has done it three times – in China, Spain and Canada. Now back on home territory he looks very capable of doing the same at 5/2 with skyBET.

The bookmakers continue to be very generous on the performances of Daniel Ricciardo, despite the Australian producing consistently impressive displays over recent weeks.

The Red Bull man has finished third in four of the last five races and won the other one. He is still lagging behind Hamilton, Sebastian Vettel and Valtteri Bottas in the Driver’s Championship but if he keeps this form up then he will be challenging come the end of the season.

Those three are the clear favourites to achieve a podium finish in Britain but Ricciardo has continually defied the odds and he looks extremely tempting to finish in the top three at 11/4 with bet365.

FreeBets.org.uk’s Betting Predictions

Lewis Hamilton is favourite for a good reason at Silverstone and looks good at EVENS with Stan James to make it four in a row on his home turf.

He has proved so dominant at the British Grand Prix that Hamilton also looks very decent at 5/2 with skyBET to manage the pole-fastest lap-win hat-trick.

Daniel Ricciardo has turned in a string of impressive performances and he is well worth backing at 11/4 with bet365 to manage yet another podium finish.
