This is a bottom half of the table clash where both Brighton and Everton need a win to kickstart their season. Both teams have seven points on the board and two wins from seven games, but while Brighton will be content with what they have achieved thus far, Everton have seriously underwhelmed after all the money they have spent. Super Sunday kicks off with these two teams in the lunchtime game, but who will get the result they not only want, but in Everton's case, need?

Toffees getting sticky

It all looked good in the summer, didn't it? Just like when Tottenham sold Gareth Bale and just like when Liverpool sold Luis Suarez - both for enormous fees - Everton have also reinvested in a number of areas instead of spending big on the one area they lost. As a result, although signings like Michael Keane, Jordan Pickford, Davvy Klaasen and Wayne Rooney look good in isolation, the truth of the matter is Everton look unbalanced and don;t have a true goalscoring threat. You can't lose a man like Romelu Lukaku and his 20 goals and just pad the squad out with midfielders, but that's what Ronald Koeman did. In Klaasen, Rooney and Sigurdsson, they have three number 10s! Makes no sense. With only two wins in their last seven - one of which in came in the EFL Cup, it's plain to see that the Toffees are bang out of form.

Brighter days

The Seagulls have made a respectable start to life in the Premier League and they have not abandoned the enterprising football that gained them promotion from the Championship. They hold victories over West Brom and Newcastle this season and both victories came at their Amex Stadium. With the influential Anthony Knockaert making things happen in the midfield and the resolute Shane Duffy and Lewis Dunk behind him, Chris Hughton has built himself a nice base at the club. The early worry was, would Glenn Murray be able to score enough goals to guide the Seagulls to safety in the Premier League? With seven goals so far, seven other teams have done worse in the final third and summer signing Pascal Gross seems like a very handy goalscoring midfielder to have in their ranks. Whether they'll have enough to survive come the end of the season is another question, but Brighton's home form gives them every chance.

Betfair are offering odds of 23/10 for Brighton to win (£100 free bet) Prediction

The problem with Everton right now, they don't even know what their style of play is. They don't have a strategy to win games and Brighton at least have their identity down. It looks like the home side can sneak one here.
