Leicester V West Brom Betting Preview : The Foxes need some Monday night magic!

This week's Monday Night Football serves up 2016 Premier League champions Leicester - now a far cry from that status - against a West Brom side that is trying to build upon the massive strides they made last season. Neither side has come racing out the blocks this season, but a win here could push West Brom towards the European places while Leicester need the points to move away from the dreaded bottom three. Can the Foxes find their strength at home once more?
West Brom have been steadying the ship in recent years after finding themselves as a bit of a yo-yo club around a decade ago, but now they are a fully established Premier League side. Signings like Oliver Burke, Kieran Gibbs, Jay Rodriguez, Gareth Barry and Grzegorz Krychowiak really are the kind of players who can take a club like West Brom forward. They have all played for bigger clubs and represent a subtle shift in style for the Baggies too. Pulis' men have not won in their last six games but games against Arsenal and Man City have featured during that time and they've managed three draws out of the other four. It's hard to say how close this team is to turning the corner, especially since Pulis hasn't been able to get all of his new signings onto the pitch yet with various fitness issues playing their part. When they do, they'll almost certainly take their next, necessary step.
Can the Foxes pounce
Ostensibly speaking, Leicester should still be competing in the top-half of the Premier League looking at their squad alone. Especially since this is a squad not too far removed from the one that secured the Premier League crown. Jamie Vardy and Riyad Mahrez are still on the books at the King Power Stadium, even if they are performing only fractionally like they did two years ago, and Harry Maguire joined the club from Hull in the summer and since made his England debut. Ben Chilwell seems to be a star in the making at left back while Demari Gray has considerably outshone Mahrez with every fleeting opportunity he has been given. Craig Shakespeare needs to embrace the new generation and fast, because some of his players clearly don't want to be there. They've never recovered from the loss of N'Golo Kante and the spine of the side still needs work.
West Brom are more a quote-en-quote 'team' than Leicester at this stage, but the Foxes are often electric at home under the floodlights and Jamie Vardy and co. will surely be buzzing to take three points off a team they expect to in front of their home fans.
- Both teams beat each other away last season
- Leicester are currently joint-third bottom
- West Brom could go as high as sixth with a win
